🦆 LockDuck

Terms of Use

Effective date: 12 October 2026

By installing or using LockDuck you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What LockDuck is

LockDuck is a tool that helps parents and guardians limit access to chosen apps on an Android device by requiring quiz questions to be answered first. It is intended for use by an adult on a device used by a child they are responsible for, or on your own device.

2. Your responsibility

LockDuck is an aid, not a substitute for supervision. You are responsible for deciding which apps to block and for how long. You confirm that you are the owner of the device, or have the owner's permission, and that you are allowed to set controls on it.

3. No guarantee

Android devices, manufacturers and app versions differ. We work to make LockDuck reliable, but we cannot guarantee that every blocked app will always be locked on every device, or that a determined user cannot bypass it. The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. The educational content is for practice and may contain mistakes.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LockDuck and its owner are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including missed calls or lost access to an app while it is locked. Do not block apps you rely on for safety or emergencies (such as phone and messaging apps).

5. Acceptable use

You may not copy, decompile, resell or redistribute the app, reuse its question content or branding, or use it to monitor another person without their lawful knowledge.

6. Intellectual property

LockDuck, its name, logo, code, design and original question content are owned by LockDuck and protected by copyright and other laws. © 2026 LockDuck. All rights reserved. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app; no ownership is transferred. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their owners.

7. Changes and termination

We may update the app or these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept it. You can stop using LockDuck at any time by uninstalling it (deactivate Device Administrator first in Android settings if you enabled it).

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be handled by the courts of India, unless local consumer law says otherwise.
